The fundamental difference from eustress and distress itself is from how you treat events that happen to you. If you accept it with a feeling of heaviness, fear, a feeling of wanting to run away, then you may experience distress. The wisest thing you can do is to face the problem directly to the point or "run away" and look for things that can keep you away from sources of stress.

But, if you accept it without fear, and you become motivated, feel your life is full of challenges that you have to solve like playing video games, that's eustress.

What are the characteristics of eustress?

You need to know some of the eustress characteristics so that you better understand them by example your daily conditions. Following are the characteristics of eustress:

  • Usually happens only briefly
  • Is a way to deal with stress itself

Eustress makes you feel you have to work on that big project seriously, earn money for the birth of your first child with passion, or prepare your presentation carefully.

Bad stress can be changed to good stress
