Are you interested in doing yoga? If you don't have time to meet your yoga trainer or take classes, there are some simple yoga movements that you can try at home. What are the yoga movements for beginners at home? Check out the following review.
1. Tree pose
The yoga tree movement is a basic pose to train balance and also increase the flexibility of the body. The method is quite easy, first start by standing up straight. Then, put both palms in front of your chest.
For the legs, bend your knees out of the body away from the body and attach the soles of the feet to the thighs as shown above. Hold this movement for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, replace the foot next to it and repeat the same movement.
2. Downward-facing dog
In this position the V-shaped body is reversed, where the head is facing down. First, start by bending to place both hands on the mat. Then, the position of this palm must be more advanced than the shoulder.
Next to position the feet, place the knees on the mattress to bend. Next, lift the knees attached to the mat until your feet are straight from end to end. You can see the example of the movement as shown above.
Make sure the body position is straight, don't bend when doing this pose. Maintain this position while taking 5-10 deep breaths.
Cat-cow is one of the most important movements when starting yoga. Especially for those of you who have back pain problems. Doing this movement routinely provides a good stretch for spinal health.
You can see the movement as shown above. Place your palms and knees on the mat, then stretch your spine by bending and straightening your body. Feel slowly that your spine must always stay straight.
4. Mountain pose
Mountain pose is one of the simplest yoga movements. Stand still with your chest open and hands at your sides. This movement is also used to analyze your posture, whether your posture is right. Maybe your shoulder is tilted sideways or you are too bent.
You can start doing this movement by standing tall. Then feel the part of your back feels really straight. Position the hand next to the body with open arms.
5. The yoga movement is a pose
This is one of the most soothing relaxed movements after doing other yoga movements. Every time you feel overwhelmed or feel tired, relax your body with this child pose. From the downward-facing dog pose that you did before, lower your buttocks down, stick your knees and back of your feet with the mattress.
Lower your shoulders to the floor with your head facing the floor. Align your hands as far as possible.
