The discharge from a penis with a sticky texture that is clear, yellowish, or greenish can be caused by many factors. But in many cases, discharge from the penis can be a sign of a serious health problem.

Common causes of discharge from the penis

The presence of particles or foreign substances coming out of the penis (other than sperm) in many cases is a sign of a sexually transmitted disease or other infection. 1. Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea or gonorrhea is a venereal disease caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. These bacteria often spread from one person to another through sexual intercourse, including oral, anal, and vaginal sex. Frequently changing sexual partners and not using condoms during sex increases a person's risk of developing this disease.

2. Chlamydia

Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis. This disease can only be transmitted through genital fluids. So, you will not contract this disease from toilet seats, towels, cutlery, swimming pools, kisses, and hugs.

Most people who have this disease don't realize that they have chlamydia. Because the symptoms of chlamydia are not always known. If there are some symptoms appearing, you will usually find out after a week or more of the transmission period.

When there are symptoms, generally a man may release clear or cloudy fluid that appears on the tip of the penis. In addition, you may also experience extreme pain during urination, heat and itching in the penis hole, and swelling around the testicles.

3. Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis is a venereal disease caused by the parasite Trichomonas vaginalis. This infection can attack men and women who often change partners, have unprotected sex, and have a previous sex history.

Even though women have a higher risk of trichomoniasis, it is possible for men to suffer from this disease as well.

Usually the symptoms of trichomoniasis will appear within one month after infection. Even so, most people who suffer from this disease do not experience any symptoms. When symptoms occur, the symptoms that appear are frequent urination and generally accompanied by pain, thick and sticky liquid from the penis appears, redness, and swelling at the tip of the penis.

Although not fatal, this disease can trigger a variety of serious complications, such as infertility and obstruction of the urethra (urinary tract) in men.
